In some cases, you may know that a person
is charged with a crime and only know the statute code number or know
only part of the statute code number. In that case, use this form
to search for information about the crime. Use as much of the code
number as you know, leaving out the letters "PL" or "VTL". Just
use the numbers. The more numbers you know, the fewer results you
will get. The results will be at the bottom of the page (scroll
down if you can't see them). You can move through the results by
using the "<" and ">" buttons at the bottom.
For example, if you know that your friend
was arrested for 120 point something or other, just type in "120" and
click the "submit query" button. You will discover that your
friend was arrested for some kind of assault and can look through the
different possibilities.
